And here we go with another awesome two days of learning with another of our signature Explore events. Explore Orange County is slated for Thursday and Friday, Oct. 18-19, 2012 at Gothic Moon Studios in Orange, Calif. We’re presenting the event with Linked Orange County and are thrilled its leader, Bryan Elliott, will be co-hosting the event with us. As we told you a few weeks back, our featured speakers will be R/GA managing director of business transformation Peter Kim, Smart Business Social Business author Michael Brito, Joe Heinl (recently departed from Facebook and now at Ethology), allen+gerritsen’s Tamsen Webster, Expion’s Zena Weist and more.

Today, we’re happy to announce the full agenda featuring an updated Fireside Chat announcement. I’m thrilled that Kred CEO Andrew Grill will join me to talk about influence, measuring it and how it impacts your marketing in our Friday lunchtime discussion. In addition, awesome speakers and experts like Edison Research’s Tom Webster, Cisco’s Tim Washer, Content Marketing Institute’s Robert Rose, public relations innovator Jeremy Pepper, loyalty expert and Zuberance CEO Rob Fuggetta, The Sales Lion Marcus Sheridan, Edelman Digital’s Tim Hayden and community management maven Courtney Seiter of Raven Tools round out our primary speakers. For a full list of topics, see our Orange County topics page at GoToExplore.co!

Explore Orange County will also feature two interesting panel discussions. SME Digital president Nichole Kelly, who will also present a solo talk on measurement and ROI, will moderate a panel called The “Social” Media which will feature a roundtable discussion of how traditional media entities are evolving with the social and digital space. It will include Ann Glenn of Sony Pictures, Corinne Baldassano from the Dr. Laura Radio Program, Jamie Kennedy from The Balancing Act (on Lifetime Television) and a representative from OC Metro.

The other panel discussion will be moderated by yours truly and focus on the world of social technology platforms. Social media management systems, social media monitoring systems, marketing automation, email marketing … what software do you need and how do you decide what to use? I’ll be joined on the panel by Lynn Hemans of Taco Bell, Marcy Massura from Weber Shandwick, Kyle Koch from Sprinklr and Lisa Joy Rosner of NetBase. Of course, several of our sponsors are social technology vendors, too (aside from Sprinklr and NetBase), so there will be lots of perspectives and expertise in the room to help you understand the landscape better.
