“We want her to succeed” because she carries and reflects our own hopes and archetypes into the limelight.

“We want her to live the American Dream of an earnest but “mid” (in the grand scheme of things) everygirl who ends up with the Tall but Sweet Football player because she had the courage to sing her Heart out through the ups and many downs of life, her Persistence rewarded, her Talents honed and polished into an approachable but familiar “perfection”.

Her Story is “Our Story” and that draws her myriad Swifties to Gather and bask in the Tale, much like Professional Wrestling does for men and boys.

While the img below is a “joke” I promise you the brokers and players of Power consider and imagine the force a Resonant Idol could bring to bear upon the world if that Idol awoken to Class Consciousness and Dialectical Materialism and transmitted that Awareness into the hearts and minds of her fans, the system that built her up would crumple from whiplash when suddenly the whole of media suddenly tried to tear her down in reprisal, showing yet again that the media does not serve Truth, just the interests of the Class that Owns it.

From top to bottom the only Freedom in the Land of the Free is the Freedom to serve the interests of the Owner Class, the moment anyone moves counter to that there is a persistent trashing, shunning, and Othering, you hear the talking heads chant “They Are Not One of Us, This is Not Who We Are, We Are <American Dream>, They Are Radical <Slur>” and that has worked, but who will call a Taylor Swift “Not One of Us” when her whole career was built on being the Reflection and Representative of “Us” ().

Though this hypothetical situation may never come to be, we already lived through a Media personality becoming President and face the same character yet again, proving that the once Soft Power of Fame is growing increasingly hard, it even ended up as Commander-in-Chief of the Hard Power of the world’s foremost Superpower.

Those who rouse and resonate with the masses are a living Avatar of Democracy and political power that no poll can fully quantify, write off this parasocial power and potential at your risk.

These Angels of the Zeitgeist were heralded long ago, the prophecy of the 2006 TV show Heroes was “Save the Cheerleader Save the World”, now in this moment I would reckon it would say “Radicalize the <Archetypal Everywoman> Save the World”.

In this New Era, New Faith, “She’s got the whole world in her hands.”

Exercising each day improves health physically and mentally. When we exercise mentally, our brains can feel better, especially during our lives in isolation. Exercise can boost the immune system and mood. When many people are in isolation, they are depressed due to many things not being open. Developing workout habits can help keep a healthy lifestyle and relieve stress. No one should have the mindset that because with gyms closed due to isolation, it’s possible the habit to stay active and healthy will be out the window. What exercise works best? First, set goals! The first step is to take at least a twenty to thirty-minute walk each day. The second is to do two hours of slow aerobic movement. Someone can extend this exercise for a whole week. Aerobic movement can just be swimming in your pool, riding a bicycle, and dancing to your favorite song solo or with your mate. At home, when they want to do strength training, do it at least three times each week. Make sure it is done by never overdoing it.

First, take breaks. One would think that’s how it works. If working from home for more than six hours each day, take a fifteen to twenty-minute break from the PC or laptop by taking a short walk outside. Walk around the house or do stretching techniques until ready to go back to work. Keep small weights to move your arms and legs at your desk. Do this method at least thirty times slowly per side. Instead of constantly sitting at your work chair, stand up for five minutes. Doing this method can help to decrease the risk of neck or back pain. Get into the habit to stand while working between thirty to sixty minutes. Watching YouTube videos improves fitness and is good for the mind. If a friend just started doing yoga, there are many tips and techniques on how it is done. Yoga exercises can give someone between ten to thirty minutes for each level of practice. Doing cardio is great because many professional fitness trainers can make it fun while making sure someone is doing them properly. If someone does not have basic gym equipment, one would think that’s how it works when at home, trainers will give anyone simple, but fun substitutes to use so when family members are watching it on the computer, anyone can follow; even with cardio music.

Zoom has been very popular and beneficial when communicating with friends and family during isolation. There may be a friend or a family member that can help to work together when far away to do a workout. Even if it’s twice a week for an hour, it’s rewarding to stay communicated. For most of us, social media is a huge part of our lives. Many of us look at our phones before we fall asleep and again first thing in the morning. It’s no surprise then, that many of us use social media to organize events such as birthday parties and to curate our guest lists. While there’s nothing wrong with using social media to help you organize your parties, the truth is if it’s the only way you’re planning your events, you’re going to miss out. 1. It feels Really Impersonal
How many Facebook event invitations do you get a week? I actually don’t know because I recently deleted my Facebook application after seeing The Social Dilemma. If you’re spending a lot of time and energy into planning an event, then the last thing you want is for people to miss out on the invite. One of the best ways to avoid this is by creating personalized birthday invites. By investing a little more time and effort, you know that your guests are going to receive actual invites and probably prioritize your event over others!

2. You’ll Miss Out On Inviting People
You need to think about your guest list, is everyone actually on social media? I’m sure you have at least some friends who are avoiding using it, or not checking it that frequently. Likewise, if you’re trying to plan a birthday for your mom, you’re going to find that creating beautiful 50th birthday invitations for her will work a lot better than trying to invite her friends on Facebook, especially if many of them don’t do social media. The most important ‘thing’ at your event is the people and by creating custom invites you can be sure to invite everyone that’s really important to you. The million-dollar app, Zillow, allows people to search an area in-depth to find their perfect home. Even professional realtors like Shalom Lamm couldn’t have expected a large number of users this app would reach. 

Zillow has done remarkably well for the little advertising it’s done. It ranks number one on the app store and according to Shalom’s Personal Blog, it will remain that way for quite sometimes. The app designers and creators made Zillow into almost a monopoly. No other app like this existed thus, it helped circulate momentum around the development. Lamm says realtors can be directly connected to a person after interest in a property is shown. Then, a profile will come up for the user and the realtor can start making sales. Zillow even offers time slots for home visits or meetings. Shalom says he wished that the app was invented when he first started in the realtor business because it would’ve saved him a lot of trouble. 

Advertising can be very costly when it comes to rebranding something. If a realtor company is struggling and needs to get more sales, they might try designing logos, reaching new markets, and having lower prices. With Zillow, none of that had to happen because the consumers weren’t necessarily house-hunters. According to Lamm, a large percentage of app users are actually people who are just bored. They look at million-dollar mansions or expensive condos in the area because they just want to snoop. Lamm believes it’s human nature but that’s one of the reasons Zillow is so successful. Whenever a company taps into psychological aspects that make them money, it’s almost a guaranteed clement. 

It certainly is great to see the housing market be so successful amidst the pandemic. With people having immediate access to what houses are for sale, it’s a lot easier to recommend the app to others. Marketing the business by sharing the app through word of mouth is very important. Lamm states that Zillow is so successful because of how much people genuinely enjoy the app. By having a couple or family looking for a home together, it makes it much more enjoyable. Shalom Lamm has been caught saying that it is more of a social media then it is a housing application. Even if the app still exists on someone’s phone, untouched or unused, it still collects data. That data can be sold to other platforms and then they can come up with campaigns that market the user better. It’s all very complex but the developers are doing their best to get engagement on the app, no matter the person’s interest.According to LinkedIn, Shalom Lamm gained his knowledge of business development through his non-profit. Of course, he is a well-established realtor who used marketing techniques that world on buyers for years. But how did he become so knowledgeable on social media? Luckily, Lamm is one of the only people who try to stay ahead of the game. He is a lax person but is a very good businessman. That’s why investing in companies like Zillow right when they first debuted was of interest to him. He believes that the housing market will soon have to be controlled solely through social media. As online developments grow, l fewer people are going to interact. Thus, more platforms like Zillow will occur. It’s very important that those developers stay ahead of the times and continue egregiously working to connect people closer together instead of farther apart. Spotify is currently testing a new exciting feature called Storyline that gives users behind the scenes and exclusive content from their favourite artists and their music. The content is presented just like an Instagram story and boasts a similar functionally to Behind the Lyrics slides. However, unlike Behind the Lyrics, which is provided by the third-party company Genius, Storylines comes directly from the musicians themselves. This new feature is currently being tested on both IOS and Android, and those who use Spotify in the United States and Holland have been able to access it. However, Storylines isn’t available to all Spotify users yet and not all artists are able to access it. This is a particularly interesting move as Spotify is already integrated with one the most popular social media tools on the internet; Instagram Stories.

This particularly interesting move would give the streaming giant a form of original material that goes far beyond an album exclusive every now and then. It could also make the app more popular amongst a generation that has grown up surrounded by stories features on many of their social media channels. Additionally, this could also mean that Spotify stays ahead of Apple Music, where their exclusive content is based on the occasional Beats interview.

Spotify Vs Apple Music

There’s no denying that Spotify are the undisputed masters of music streaming. The Swedish company has helped shape the entire music streaming landscape and boast tens of millions more paying subscribers than their primary competition. However, Apple Music is well known for high-level releases and fully integrates into Apple’s IOS ecosystem. Apple Music has also seen impressive listenership growth since it went live in 2015 and now has over 40 million monthly subscribers. In fact, despite Spotify being the dominant streaming platform, Apple Music is the most popular paid music streaming platform in the United States.

There is another big area where Apple Music have the one up on Spotify, and that’s their integration with the iTunes library. Any music that their users that have previously bought, uploaded or ripped from a CD will appear in their music library. This gives them the option to browse their music alongside Apple’s catalogue of music. Spotify does offer a function that is similar, but you can’t access your music via a broad search like you can with Apple Music.

Social Media Integration

However, one of the biggest wins comes from Spotify that that’s their integration with the various social media platforms. It allows users to share links to songs and their listening habits with their friends. And, also post what they’re listening to on Instagram stories where they can include lots of different stickers and hashtags. Apple Music does have an option to add friends next to albums that they are listening to, but Spotify is well ahead of the game.

Navigation and User Interface

Apple Music boasts a slick white finish on mobile devices, while Spotify goes for a black look across its different mobile apps and desktop version. Both streaming platforms are really easy to navigate on mobile with each app’s main tabs found at the bottom of each interface. Depending on the song, Spotify has some really cool animations and videos that play full screen when you listen to them. Both streaming platforms also let you look at a song’s lyrics on the screen if they are available. However, only Apple Music lets you search for music using the lyrics in the query.

The Bottom Line

As you can see, both of the music streaming giants have their pro and cons of use. And, it is typically just down to a user preference whether they use one or the other. However, with Spotify testing their new Storyline feature, could this give the Swedish company a significant competitive advantage against Apple Music?
