3 Ways To Increase Sales Through Marketing

Marketing has been known as the life blood of business. Even if you have an exceptional product, nobody will buy it if they don’t know about it. That’s where marketing comes in. There are many different ways you can market your product. The essence of it however is that you need to know who would benefit from your product or service and how to get in contact with them. This will differ depending on your target market, however, for the majority of the time, it’s relatively similar. So, here are three ways to increase sales through marketing.

1. Weekly ads and promotions.

If we look at Walmart’s weekly ad for an example we can see that they have a detailed list of all of their promotions for that week. People love saving money. That’s just a fact of life. If someone can come in and see an item that’s been marked down 50% to 10 dollars, they’re more likely to buy that item than if it was simply on the shelf marked at 10 dollars as a starting price. Why? Because they’re wanting to seize the opportunity that they know is a limited time offer. If they don’t jump on the sale now, they could in essence be losing 10 dollars if they came back later to buy the item.

Promotions, coupons, and mail in discounts are proven to work! The reason being is that most people don’t know what they want or need until it’s presented to them. People more often than not see a problem if it’s caused by the presence of something but often miss it if it’s caused by the absence of something. Promotions are bringing the absence of your product to light for a potential buyer.

2. Social media marketing has become a large influencer in modern day marketing.

The best part of this is that it comes up naturally in their main feed now. Most Americans spend between one and two hours a day scrolling through social media. Social Media marketing puts your advertisement directly in their scrolling path. What’s even better is that because of “cookies” you will only be paying to advertise to people who are potential buyers. On top of all of this, most social media ads have a direct link to your website where customers can go shopping. This not only will get your product out there but also give buyers the change and opportunity to buy your product on the spot.

3. Word of mouth marketing.

This is quite easily the best form of marketing. Word of mouth marketing is simply people talking about your product to their friends. Because of this, you want to make sure that your product has actually benefited them and that they will speak positively about your product and not negatively. However, in the end, this form of marketing costs you nothing. If you can create a product that gets talked about, that’s free marketing for you.
